CHALLENGE

Our Client wanted to reduce the man hours required for the financial books which required tedious regular updating manually from a variety of sources such as excel spreadsheets and queries.


Solution

Technical Leadership, Data Transformation, Master Data Management and Delivery over multi-year.

We designed and implemented a fully automated programme to deliver the data needed to better understand the financial month end position of the business. We provided technical leadership, data transformation, master data management and delivery expertise as part of the client’s 2-year programme, all of which improved the client’s ability to understand customer sales, usage and monthly revenue. We also designed and implemented an Enterprise Data Management module within the business to support Data and Program Governance disciplines. A new MDM module for business classification was developed which fed directly into the month end process and loaded into Oracle financials.


Outcome

The Client now has an end to end, data-driven, and a fully automated month end solution for accounting purposes leaving the team to do the job they need to do rather than be bogged down by manual data entry into various excel sheets. Through the automated process, the Client is now further able to use the gained hours in understanding and improving the customer interaction.
